Wow, I made it to 50, Life As... cartoons that is, not my age!!
I can't believe there's only two weeks to go, until Life As... turns one year!!!!

                                                            Stay warm this winter.

Here's some interesting stats about Australia's love of magazines.
  • Australia has one of the highest consumption levels of magazines per capita in the world (Ray Morgan, June 2012)
  • Australians have spent $894 million dollars on a total of 172 million magazines in the last 12 months, that's 5.5 magazines sold every second (ABC Audit, June 2012)
Wow that's a crazy amount of magazines!!!
Above dot point information was sourced from Magazine Publishers of Australia (MPA) website.

Just two fences having a chat, nothing weird about that!!!

I am not a collector, but if I were, I'd probably collect hats!! Just love em!!
I think we should all feel like Royalty once in a while, so go on, spoil yourself today!
Some Good News: My Lazy Baker watercolour image (post 33. titled Lazy Baker http://lifeascartoons.weebly.com/1/post/2013/02/33-lazy-baker.html) has been used in the Mount Macedon Tour Map & Directory, as seen below. 'The Lazy Baker,' country bakery in Macedon, liked my image so much it's been used as their image in this pamphlet, and there is talk that they may use the image on their business cards too! It is a thrill getting to see your work out there. I am biased, but I think it stands out nicely in this pamphlet!! (Click the image below to enlarge it).

Our previous hose always seemed to kink up, so frustrating it was. Maybe it was a good thing, that the tradie that did our fences, ruined it. I must say, I am loving our new kink free model!!
This cartoon is dedicated to the hose we do not miss!! And as for our new hose, I'll have to hide it the next time any trade work takes place.

This week I tried painting with ink (the writing, border and signature). I might have to duck by an art shop to buy a more suitable brush for my next effort, as the brush I used, proved a little tricky to control. Still, for this image I didn't want the writing to be too clean, or too neat, as this rose has way too much attitude for that!!

Now that the mornings are colder, getting up is getting harder, and harder to do! This morning I have to admit, I hit the snooze button twice, or at least I think I did. Perhaps one of the snooze hits was done in my sleep. Or I dreamt I hit it!! I really am NOT awake first thing, still, I am not quite as bad as the above lazy sleeper. Imagine hitting the snooze button eight times!!!!!!!!

I wonder who holds the record for hitting the snooze button the most times?? What's the longest you kept hitting the snooze button? If it's 90 minutes, maybe a 'Clocky' or a 'Tocky' would be helpful. How funny, alarm clocks that run away after you hit the snooze button more than twice! I might think about getting one of those, cause as the saying goes, 'you snooze, you lose'.

Years ago, I had an alarm clock that was a gorilla that played the drums. It was so noisy and obnoxious. To turn it off, you pressed down his hat and the gorilla would say "Good Morning". Some mornings hearing it say "Good Morning," was so super frustrating!!!

Here's a link to the wiki page with more information on the 'Clocky' and 'Tocky' alarm clocks http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clocky and the ad on youtube with these clocks in action http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=izWCU4Y61o4
I'm not trying to sell these alarms or endorse them, I just found them pretty interesting and funny.

The dog strikes again! This is Life As... a dog number 10! Wow I've hit double figures.

This is one of my 'vintage' cartoons created on December 7, 2009. I think every cartoonist out there, has at least one fart joke. This is mine.

My cartoon creating day/s this week, were spent feeding my rabbit, Owen, by syringe every 2 hours to keep him alive (most feeds took best part of an hour). Not sure why my precious bun stopped eating and drinking, but thankfully he is once again doing both independently.

Next week, as long as Owen doesn't have a relapse, I look forward to creating another new Life As... cartoon. Maybe it will be Life As... a vet nurse, or 24 hour vet, or Life As... a crazy pet owner!! Who knows what it will be!

This is the 7th 'Life As... a couple' posted on my blog so far.

Oh, and one last thing. Couple support (the title of this post) perfectly sums up what I ended up experiencing this week. A super big thanks to my hubby for the lovely dinners and extra help he provided, while I was around the clock feeding little Owen, the support made such a big difference!!
